Description
The HR Generalist supports organizational effectiveness by administering company people programs and maintaining consistent, well‑documented processes across the employee lifecycle. This role ensures role clarity, value-based practices, and compliance through accurate execution and ongoing program management. The HR Generalist analyzes employee data and trends to provide insights that inform leadership decisions and highlight areas for improvement. By facilitating clear communication, reliable follow‑through, and disciplined reporting, this position helps leaders address people‑related issues effectively. The role contributes to a stable, scalable culture by ensuring systems and information are in place to support performance and accountability.


Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversees organization‑wide talent acquisition workflows by administering the applicant tracking system, managing job postings, and ensuring candidates are progressed consistently and professionally, with clear communication and timely follow‑through.
  • Administers the employee onboarding process by preparing and issuing offer letters, supporting new hires in obtaining required state licensure, and coordinating New Hire Orientation scheduling.
  • Facilitates New Hire Orientation sessions to ensure a consistent, welcoming experience for all employees, while collecting, completing, and securely maintaining required employment documentation.
  • Completes I‑9 and E‑Verify requirements for all new hires, ensuring documentation accuracy, work authorization compliance, and organized maintenance of I‑9 records across the organization.
  • Manages the administrative components of employee transitions, including promotions, transfers, and terminations, ensuring accuracy, documentation integrity, and timely system updates.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and audits compensation, headcount, program adoption, and related workforce data to support informed decision‑making and identify trends or gaps within the organization.
  • Develops and maintains standardized internal documents and tools, including job descriptions, performance review materials, and HR forms, to promote clarity, consistency, and scalability.
  • Supports the implementation and administration of company programs and initiatives, including professional development efforts, by coordinating logistics and monitoring participation and outcomes.
  • Enhances the employee experience by responding to inquiries promptly, administering benefits and perks accurately, and maintaining an approachable, service‑oriented presence.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned, contributing to the ongoing effectiveness and reliability of HR operations.

Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience considered.
  • 3+ years’ experience in HR or adjacent role, with a preference for those who have worked in cannabis, healthcare, or scaling organizations.
  • Proven ability to administer HR programs and processes accurately and consistently.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using employee data to identify trends and support decisions.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, and related tools, with a focus on leveraging technology to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
    • Würk and JazzHR experience a major plus.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with reliable follow‑through.
  • Clear, professional communicator with a commitment to transparency and timely response that build camaraderie between employees, peers, and superiors.
  • Ability to apply policies, practices, and values fairly, consistently, and with discretion.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Missouri Agent ID.

Essential Job Functions:
  • The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time (4+ hours).
  • The ability to bend, squat, and reach overhead. 
  • The ability to lift up to 25 pounds at one time.
     
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $60,000 - $70,000 commensurate with experience
  • Health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, with individual employee premiums covered by the company at 100%.
